PURPOSE:To realize an inexpensive method with ease of maintenance without giving contamination to environment by using power of two systems comprising an accurate control system power by means of a servo system motor and a conventional motor using an electromagnetic coupling element as the intervention of power transmission to perform position control. CONSTITUTION:When a power is closed, a synchronous motor 5 is started and gears 8, 9 run idle oppositely to each other at a speed of 2,900r.p.m. In closing next an operation switch, a tape is read by a reader, the data is computed by an arithmetic circuit and a numeral and a direction command are outputted. In case of the data such as 1 pitch 4.8mm. and left direction, 48 pulses are applied slowly to a stepping motor 1 for 40ms to rotate a ball screw by 0.24 turn. Torque applied to the screw 3 in this case surpasses sufficiently load torque 33.2kg.cm. Thus, a scale plate 12 is moved left by 2.4mm.. Then 48 pulses are applied to the motor 1 succeedingly in a slowdown way for 40ms, the plate 12 is moved for the reset 2.4mm. and 4.8mm. is moved in total 80ms.
