BRAKE DEVICE OF VEHICLE FOR RUNNING ON WASTELAND

PURPOSE:To reduce the size and the weight of a brake for rear wheels and to enable increasing of a minimum height from the ground, by a method wherein a brake is attached to a driving shaft which transfers to a final reduction gear the power of the engine of a stridlle type vehicle for running on a wasteland having wheels with a wide very low pressure tyre. CONSTITUTION:A vehicle for running on a wasteland is provided at the front of a vehicle body with a pair of front wheels 10a and 10b on both sides so that the wheels can be steered by a handle 32. The vehicle is provided at the rear of the vehicle frame with rear wheels 12a and 12b on both sides which are driven and rotated through a final reduction gear 46 with the aid of an engine 38 locted below an astride type seat 36. In which case, the engine 38 is coupled with a support case 44 of the final reduction gear 46 through a coupling cylinder 50, having a driving shaft inserted therethrough, and a brake case 48. A break disc 58, formed integrally with the driving shaft, and a disc brake, containing a calliper 60, being positioned astride a part of the outer periphery of the disc 58, are contained in the brake case 48.
