PURPOSE:To produce the titled compound useful as a nutrient, food, feed additive and raw material of pharmaceutical, with a simple culturing process, preventing the contamination with sundry germs, by culturing a bioluminescent bacterial cell or a cell containing luciferase. CONSTITUTION:The objective compound can be produced by culturing a bioluminescent bacterial strain [e.g. Photobacterium phosphoreum No.244 (FERM-P 7311), etc.] or a bacterial strain containing luciferase in the cell, in a medium preferably containing flavin mononucleotide, riboflavin, adenosine triphosphate, adenosine diphosphate and/or adenosine.
