DETECTION SYSTEM FOR RUNAWAY OF MICROPROGRAM

PURPOSE:To check the runaway of a microprogram in case of wrong branching, etc. by indicating the count value showing the run route of the microprogram to provide the value specified to the program route. CONSTITUTION:A microprogram stored in a microprogram store memory 10 is read out to a reading register 11 and decoded. The words 40 and 41 showing the run route of the microprogram are provided to a work register group 16. These words are replaced via an operator 18 every time the microprogram runs along its prescribed route in response to each level of the microprogram. Then the expected value is compared with the counted value when the microprogram finishes a certain module. In such a way, a normal or an abnormal state is decided.
