PURPOSE:The titled composition, containing a culture of a microorganism, capable of producing a bacteriostatic substance for microorganisms in the group of parasitic microorganisms on insects, belonging to the Bacillus cereus or a treated substance thereof as a component, and having the preventing action on growth of various strains of microorganisms in the group of parasitic microorganisms on insects. CONSTITUTION:A composition containing a culture of a microorganism capable of producing a bacteriostatic substance for microorganisms of the group of parasitic microorganisms on insects, belonging to Bacillus cereus or a treated substance thereof. Bacillus cereus SW (deposited in Fermentation Research Institute as FERM-P No.7242) or Bacillus cereus IAM1729 may be cited as the microorganism to be used, and the bacteriostatic substance for microorganisms in the group of parasitic microorganisms on insect has at least =10,000mol.wt. and is inactivated by heating at 65 deg.C for 10min.
