SCALE PREVENTIVE DEVICE FOR DRYING PART OF DRY AND WET COOLING TOWER

PURPOSE:To increase the heat exchanging efficiency of a heat transfer pipe, by preventing the pipe from clogging or choking by detecting the state of scale adhering to the inside of a pipe and by automatically cleaning the inside, based on the inspected data. CONSTITUTION:A conductivity sensor 11 senses the state of scale adhering on the inside of a heat transfer pipe, and it transmits an output signal to a pulse generator as a controlling means 12 when the detected value exceeds a predetermined torelance value. The controlling means 12 energizes an electromagnetic coil 17 to reciprocate a magnet 16 in the vertical direction. By this movement, a brush moving means 10 is actuated and a coiled brush 9 is reciprocated in the vertical direction along the inside wall of a heat transfer pipe 4, so that the deposit of scale adhering to the inside wall of a pipe 4 comes off and is washed out together with waste hot-water. In such a manner the inside of a heat transfer pipe 4 can automatically can be cleaned.
