PURPOSE:To determine components in a living body fluid accurately with ease, by previously removing intrinsic or extrinsic interfering substance by a means of oxidation with a dehydrogenase, etc. CONSTITUTION:Components in a living body, e.g. alpha-amylase or transaminase, in the body fluid is measured in a reaction process. A redox reaction by a dehydrogenase is applied to the reaction process to measure the amounts of the components by the colorimetry. In the process, intrinsic or extrinsic substances or derivatives thereof exhibiting the interference in the reaction process for the determination are previously oxidized in the presence of a dehydrogenase to eliminate the interfering ability thereof and remove the reduced form nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide or nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate by the reaction with phenazine methosulfate or a derivative thereof and catalase or peroxidase in the absence of a color developing electron acceptor.
