CHANGEOVER DEVICE FOR PUNCH HEAD WITH PUNCH PRESS MACHINE HAVING PLURAL RAMS

PURPOSE:To provide a titled device which is compact and with which changeover operation is quickly and surely accomplished by providing an engaging groove to the bottom surface of an intermediate connecting member connected freely vertically movably and rotatably to the bottom end of a pitman and engaging selectively said groove with plural pieces of rams. CONSTITUTION:A punch press machine is provided with a punch head changeover device 5 between a pitman 1 connected to a crank shaft (not shown in figure) and rams 2 corresponding to two rows of punches 4 supported to an upper turret 3. The device 5 of said punch press machine is constituted of a piston member 7 connected by a horizontal shaft to the lower part of the pitman 1 and an intermediate connecting member 8 coupled freely rotatably to said member by a ring 11. A circumferential groove 16 which engages with the head part 2a of the ram 2 and is provided with a cylindrical recess 16a is provided to the bottom surface of the member 8 and said member 8 is rotated by 180 deg. each by means of a rotary actuator 17 via a splined gear 14, gears 15, 19, etc. provided on the circumferential surface of said groove, by which the groove is engaged alternately to the two rams 2.
