PROCESS FOR SEPARATING AND CONCENTRATING RARE EARTH MINERAL

摘要

PURPOSE:To perform stable separation and concentration and to obtain rare earth mineral of high quality with high yield by performing mineral dressing by adding Al ion together with aliphatic or aromatic sulphonate type collector. CONSTITUTION:In the process for separating and concentrating rare earth mineral from complex ore contg. rare earth mineral (e.g. bastnaesite) by flotation, Al ion is added together with an aliphatic or an aromatic sulphonate collector (e.g. alkyl sulphonate) to adjust the concn. of Al ion concn. to 140-560mg/l. In this stage, after adding Al ion to the pulp, the pH is adjusted to 2-6, then the collector is added and the flotation is performed at 50-90 deg.C of the liquid temp. of the pulp. As a result, rare earth mineral of high quality is stably separated with high yield from the complex ore contg. many gengue minerals together with the rare earth mineral.
