Bed for patient with bed sores - has side portions pivoted and lockable to central portion to permit turning patient on sides

The bed is intended for a patient (Z) lying on the back or front who has to be turned on the side at regular intervals e.g. to relieve discomfort through bed sores. Three portions (A,B,C) are arranged side by side, of which each laterally outer portion (A,C) can be swivelled up through 90 deg. about a longitudinal axis (D1,D2) and locked to the central portion (B). - The two portions (e.g. A,B) then are swivelled back so that the patient on the central portion (B) then lies on the side.
