Maize silage harvester - has intake rollers inclined at 70 degrees to horizontal in contra-rotating pairs

The maize silage harvester, e.g. for mounting on the front of a tractor, has intake rollers which are inclined forwards at the top at an angle of approximately 70 degrees to the horizontal. The rollers rotate slowly (100 rpm) in contra-rotating pairs, to grip the maize stems and have meshing toothed discs at the base to cut the stems. - The cut stems are passed through a chopper with interacting blades and counter-cutting elements before going to an auger conveyor and ejector.
