Method of influencing the slaking speed of quick lime by use of Calcium sulphate as retarder, characterised in that with the Calcium sulphate a retarding organic substance of the heterogene growth structure and the crystal growth of hydrated lime is used, wherein the Calcium sulphate and the organic substance, which is initially dissolved in water, and then the quick lime is added.
