The vaulting horse comprises a main body (1;3) on height-adjustable legs. The upper part of the body contains a vertically movable support surface (2), coupled with guide elements (11,12) and a system of springs (4'). The upward spring force is adjustable (8), e.g. via a crank (8') at the underside of the horse with bevel gears acting on horizontal screw spindles to vary the position of spring support levers on a base plate (10). Alternative spring arrangements, including a leaf spring assembly, are specified and illustrated.
