The handle (1) of the gum massager, has a spindle (2) on which rotatable adjacent discs (4) may be mounted. These are secured in position by a screwed-in end stop (3)' The friction resistance between the discs may be adjusted by varying the spindle diameter. The discs may be electrically driven. The tool handle may be turned w.r.t. the tool spindle through 90 degrees, which enables all parts of the gum to be reached.
