The mechanism is for continuously rolling-out a layer of dough (1) supplied (2) via an endless belt (3). It comprises a driven (7,8,11) assembly (5) arranged at the end of the belt and contg. circumferentially spaced rollers (12) rotating inside a fixed belt (10) around them, and a moving (22) surface (20), the dough being rolled out between the belt (10) and this surface (20). The assembly (5) is arranged on the underside of the dough whilst the surface (20) is formed by an endless belt which passes over a rotating cylinder (19) above the dough and is at a converging acute angle relative to the surface of the belt (3).
