Condensing instrument for packing and condensing in connection with serumizing dental composite filler material

Condenser used for packing and condensation when inserting dental composite resins. These instruments are made in metal or plastic materials. Some composites contain hard particles and require a relatively hard condensation pressure, which causes abrasion of outer fragments on known metal instruments. These fragments become encased in the resins and cause discolouration after oxidation. Plastic instruments quickly loose their finish, and make effective condensation work impossible. To make an instrument, that does not discolour and ensures a durable function, at least one working part (4 and/or 5) of the instrument is provided with a metal alloy with a coating (6 and/or 7) of ceramic material, that forms the working part's work surface (8 and/or 9).IMAGE
