The game comprises a flat rectangular box contg. a mobile false floor. The floor can reciprocate vertically within the box. Springs are used to constrain the floor to rise when free. A timing mechanism is used to free the floor after a specific time interval. The top horizontal box surface is open and the mobile floor block has recesses which receive the shaped blocks. When the floor rises the blocks are freed from their recesses. The timing mechanism acts in conjunction with floor locking mechanisms, and may have an adjustable time interval. Certain blocks may be segmental and have soffit formations which match floor recess shapes.
