The long reach portable power-saw has a blade (11) and a lightweight engine (12) mounted at the opposite ends of a long tube (10) containing the drive-shaft (13). The tube (10) has two handles (31, 36) and a forearm brace (21). The lower handle (31) and the brace may be connected and slide relative to the tube (10) to lock in a desired position. A harness may be used instead of the brace (21) and the blade may be a circular saw (11) or a chain saw.
