COATING AND DRESSING AGENTS FOR LEATHERAND LEATHER SUBSTITUTES BASED ON POLY-URETHANE UREA COATING COMPOUNDSABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREThis invention relates to coating agents anddressing agents for leather and leather substitutes withimproved resistance to plasticizer migration, greaterhardness and folding strength, a dry hand and resistanceto aqueous alcoholic solutions, based on linear or onlyslightly branched thermoplastic polyurethane ureas builtup from the following components:A) at least two macrodiols in a molar ratio of fromabout 1:6 to 6:1, one of which macrodiols1) has an average molecular weight of from about254 to 650 and contains at least one benzene,cyclohexane or cyclohexene ring, while2) the second macrodiol has an average molecularweight in the range of from about 1200 to 3000but has at least three times the molecular weightof A/1, and which containB) from about 0.5 to 11 mol of chain lengthening agentper mol of macrodiol mixture, at least about 50 mol% of the chain lengthening agents used being ali-phatlc and/or cycloaliphatic diamines and/orhydrazine,and in whichC) the diisocyanates used are cycloaliphatic diisocya-nates, up to about 50 mol % of which may be re-placed by aliphatic and/or aromatic diisocyanates.
