This orthopedic vest consists essentially of four integral panels, the first intended to enclose the rear part of the thorax extending laterally by a second panel, intended to enclose the front part of the thorax, the axillary part and the front part of the shoulder and of the arm, in turn extending laterally by a third panel intended to enclose the posterior part of the shoulder and of the arm and to receive at least part of said first panel and to be held there, said second panel being extended on a part of its lower part by a fourth panel intended to serve as a rest for the forearm, said panels being equipped on their two faces with means of closure and progressive tightening allowing the vest to be used either on the left or right by simple reversal.
