ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREThe invention relates to a process for prepara-tion of lightweight, insulating, supple, rigid or half-rigid elements, wherein it essentially comprises impreg-nating a porous supple material having an internal struc-ture with preferentially open cell, with the desiredquantity of a solution of a compound selected from thegroup comprising isocyanates, and having consequentlyin its formula at least a -NCO group, said material havingor not having the final shape which is to be obtained,then proceeding with reticulation of said compound afterreacting it with water giving a derivative of urea orbiuret.
