A building with a wooden framework, resting on a masonry base, comprises ground plates and head plates between which extend posts, and a structure which is also wooden, formed from covering plates fixed on the framework, outside and inside. In order to improve thermal and phonic insulation, holes (17) are drilled at intervals in the posts (5) and, if appropriate, in the crosspieces (6) of the framework, and, once the framework (1, 2, 5, 6, 8, 9) has been mounted and the covering plates (12, 13) fixed thereon, a fluid and hardenable insulation product (15), which, after hardening, strengthens and makes the framework and the structure into a single piece, is injected under pressure into the free space left by the framework and the covering plates, joining bridges being formed through the holes (17).
