a disposable set allows for the introduction of a catheter into small vessels such as the radial artery of a patient.the introducer assembly is contained in a sterile package and it comes in the form of a unit which includes a needle (1), a catheter (2).a guide wire (15), and a feeding device of the guide wire (16).the catheter is mounted on the needle for introduction (1), point (5) of the needle and extending slightly beyond the tip of the catheter (2).a guide tube (12) extends rearward from a hub (6) to the rear part of the needle.the guide wire (15) is mounted in the tube with a handful of actuation of the wire guide projecting through an elongated slot (13) provided in the side wall of the tube.when in use, the needle (1) is first introduced in the opening in the vessel.we then move the guide wire (15) by means of the actuating handle (16) as far as possible in the ship.we then move on to follow the guide wire catheter in the vessel to the desired position.then, the guide wire (15), an elastic pin (1) and the assembly of guide wire (3) is removed and the catheter is connected to the desired equipment.
