A device producing a gradual change in the power supplied to a load or to a plurality of loads using at least one integrated circuit switching device gate array (15). Dimmers switches are well known in the art but they are manually operated and the human eye needs about 15 minues to adapt to switch from dark to a normal environment, well lit, or the reverse. Such problems are solved by using a time counter selector switch (SA) for generating an increase or progressive decrease of the light source (20) so that the human eye has sufficient time to adapt to the light conditions surrounding.
