In a method and a device for suppressing dust and for adding mixing water to the discharge of construction material from pneumatic conveying lines, in particular in underground working, in which water mist is added to the dry, conveyed construction material via a main nozzle arrangement in the blast line, which main nozzle arrangement is operated with separate air, and the mixing water is fed to the said construction material via a pilot nozzle arrangement, provision is made according to the invention for the water and separate-air admission to the main nozzle arrangement and consequently the addition of the water mist to be turned on and off in a controlled manner with the no-load pressure in the blast line, and, when the delivery of construction material is started or interrupted, for the admission of the mixing water to the pilot nozzle arrangement and consequently for the feeding of mixing water to be switched on or off by the pressure of the blast air, the mixing water of the pilot nozzle arrangement being regulated by the blast air as a function of pressure.
