Hydraulic prop with rock-burst valve for a self-advancing powered support assembly

The hydraulic prop is mounted with its outer prop 1 on the floor skid 5 of a self-advancing powered support assembly and supports a roof cap 6 via the telescopically extending inner prop 2, which roof cap 6 is carried by at least one further prop. A hollow-cylindrical lantern-shaped body - lantern 7 to 10 - which is arranged in the inner prop 2, is releasably connected to the latter by a round pin 13 having flats. Below the prop head 7, the lantern 7 to 10 has a cage 9 which is provided with side openings and into which a cartridge-shaped rock-burst valve 11 is inserted and is fastened by a round pin 13. If the latter is removed and the inner prop 2 retracted, the lantern 7 to 10 fastened with the prop head 7 to the set roof cap 6 is pulled out of the inner prop 2 to such an extent that the shank 8 of the lantern comes to bear with the collar ring 10 in the recess 12 of the inner prop 2. The rock-burst valve 11 can then be removed through the side openings of the exposed cage 9 and exchanged. IMAGE
