Refractory lining with fibre block layer

The invention relates to a refractory lining for industrial furnaces which consists of shaped parts forming gaps. The shaped parts are made of an aluminium silicate fibre material by means of a vacuum. Such shaped parts are subject to a large shrinkage. For gap sealing, the shaped parts are provided with grooves which are filled with inserted strips and are additionally sealed. Moreover the shaped parts are covered with a layer of fibre blocks to reduce the shrinkage.
