The invention relates to a feed device for a multiple-stage apparatus composed of individual channels for the uniform distribution of liquid onto the heating tubes of falling film evaporators, in particular for the sugar industry, having a central liquid feed pipe, whose outlet opening is surrounded by a calming vessel open at the top and at the bottom, below which is located a distributor cone which is surrounded at a distance by a distributor housing having a liquid outlet assigned to the top stage of the channel distributor. Here, the liquid is speedily separated from its flash vapours on a rapidly expanding surface and simultaneously its inlet energy is reduced by deflection and multiple enlargement of the inlet cross-sectional area. The actual liquid distribution takes place with a calm and wave-free liquid feed.
