The clasp for a vehicle safety belt, consists of a hollow, oblong holder (10) into which a flat tongue (11) is inserted. The narrow sides of the hollow holder (10) have two opposite facing holes (5) in which two balls (6) rest, for partially blocking the locking cavities (11c) of the tongue (11). A counter-pressure mechanism (13) is pressed by flexible pieces (14) into a position in which the holes (5) are covered. An oblong sleeve (22) with inner curved section (22b) is slide mounted on the holder (10).
