The device enables the size of hoardings on walls to be altered by providing a connector fastening a vertical U-sectional rail to a similar horizontal rail. It comprises a horizontal piece (4 and 5) with two perpendicular dovetails (3). One dovetail is slipped inside the vertical rail, its lower dimension 'a' being the same as the inside dimension of the rail. The width 'd' of the horizontal piece is identical to the height of the arms of the U-section, so that it fits tightly.
