SEALING DEVICE FOR FLOATING PLATE TYPE HEAT EXCHANGER

PURPOSE:To prevent invasion of exhaust gas into a sealed section by a method wherein a seal chamber is formed by two opposing planes at the corner of a laminated body and one pair of spring rolls while fluid for purging is introduced into the seal chamber. CONSTITUTION:High-pressure fluid for purging is introduced by the pressures of two flows of fluid which are flowing near the outside of the seal chamber 14 into the seal chamber 14 formed by two opposing planes of a corner angle 8 and a corner post 6 at the corner section of the laminated body 4 and one pair of spring rolls 11 interposed resiliently between two planes opposing mutually. The spring roll 11 is rolled by following between two planes moving relatively or it is contracted while the seal chamber 14 is provided with the amount of supplementation sufficient to the amount of leakage and keeps a constant hydraulic pressure substantially, therefore, the fluid for purging flows out to the side of exhaust gas path with a flow speed corresponding to a pressure difference and exhaust gas may never invade into the seal chamber even when a gap is generated in the side of path of exhaust gas.
