ELECTROSTATIC FLOCK FINISHING APPARATUS FOR FLOCK YARN PRODUCTION

In the electrostatic unit for the manufacture of flocked yarn, there is a carrier for the flocking removal unit under the upper electrode to remove flock material clinging to it. The carrier is a continuous belting passing round deflector and drive rollers to travel round the upper electrode and cladding. It carries material past the suction tubes to remove unwanted flocking. The conveyor belting is composed of glass fibre material, and the deflector and drive rollers are made of a material which is not electrically conductive, or they are clad with an insulating material. The system prevents flock material clinging to the electrode, so that there is no efect on the electrostatic field by the presence of matter around it.
