PREPARATION OF TEST PAPER FOR MEASURING CONCENTRATION OF HALOGEN ION BY PARTIAL AFFINITY FILTER PAPER CHROMATOGRAPH METHOD USING BERBERINE

摘要

PURPOSE:To accurately perform the quantitative analysis of the content of a halogen ion such as a chlorine ion, a bromine ion or an iodine ion within a short time, by using filter paper coated with a berberine sulfate/coloring matter solution mixture. CONSTITUTION:A part of short strip shaped filter paper or the center of circular filter paper is coated with a berberine sulfate/coloring matter solution mixture obtained by disolving berberine sulfate and coloring matter in water or an org. solvent such as alcohols, for example, metanol and acetone etc. to prepare test paper which is, in turn, immersed in urine, an aqueous solution of salt- containing food or an aqueous solution containing a halogen ion such as a bromine ion or an iodine ion. By this method, partial affinity filter paper chromatography is performed and the amount of the contained halogen ion from the chromatogram thereof can be estimated.
