PURPOSE:To measure the adsorption capacity of a number of heat resistant adsorption material simultaneously with a handy operation, by heating the heat resistant adsorption materials, metal or a compound containing an element the same as the metal ion to be adsorbed and water in the same container. CONSTITUTION:An oxidized metal foil 9, a heat resistant adsorption material 4 and water is fed into a quartz container 10 through a sealing section 11 opened. This enables the measurement of the adsorption capacity of metal ion in a short time by such a handy method that the adsorbent 4 and a metal oxide 9 as adsorption source of metal ion to be eluted are placed in the same container 10 and then, heated only.
