INSTRUMENT FOR TESTING WORKING PERFORMANCE OF LUBRICATING AGENT FOR WORKING

PURPOSE:To evaluate efficiently and simply the performance of the lubricating agent to be used in cold die forging by providing a die temp. control part having data processing unit and a press control part to the die and punch of a press tester provided with the die and punch. CONSTITUTION:The instrument provided with the die 2 having a heater in the outside peripheral part and the punch 3 for working is used for a press body 1 as an instrument for testing the performance of the lubricating agent to be used in the stage of cold die forging of a steel material. The vertical movement of the punch 3 is controlled by an electric power source 4 in the press control part 5 and presses a work piece to the die 2 to work said piece. The load during working is simultaneously detected by a sensor installed to the part 5 and is taken into a data processing part 7. The temp. of the die 2 is changed by the temp. control part 6 connected to the part 7 in accordance with the command from the part 7. The data on the die temp. and working load are accumulated and arithmetically processed in the part 7 and the performance of the lubricating oil used is discriminated in association with the reduction ratio and the die temp.
