PURPOSE:To improve the safety in the stage of analysis and the accuracy of analysis by providing a carrier gas supplying part, steam generating part, sample cracking part and gaseous ammonia absorbing part and attaching solenoid valves between the respective parts. CONSTITUTION:The carrier supplying part has the function to feed the gaseous ammonia generated in the sample cracking part to the gas absorbing part and is provided with a flow meter 1, etc. the steam generating part is constituted of a steam generating vessel 2, a feed water tank 3 and a heater 4. The vessel 2 and the tank 3 are connected by a feed water pipe 5 provided with the solenoid valve V4 and a pressure equalizing pipe 6 provided with the solenoid valve V5. A carrier gas introducing pipe 7 and a carrier gas leading out pipe 8 are installed to the tank 2 and are provided respectively with the solenoid valves V1 and V2. The vessel 2 is provided with a water level sensor 9 and a temp. measuring instrument 10 and controls automatically the liquid level and temp. The sample cracking part is provided with a cracking vessel 11, a heater 12 and a driving mechanism 13 and the gaseous ammonia absorpting part is provided with a condenser 19 and an ammonia absorber 20. The internal pressure is relieved by opening the valve V5 when the valves V1 and V2 are held closed. The opposite takes place and the valves V3, V5 are closed in the middle period of the analysis.
