摘要
PURPOSE:To remove the anisotropy of Ti and to form each material to be clad to a uniform thickness in the stage of using a composite billet consisting of the metal or noble metal of which the core material consists essentially of Ti and the sheath consists of copper to obtain the copper alloy or noble metal clad titanium composite material by subjecting the ingot for the core material to a beta treatment after hot forging. CONSTITUTION:The copper alloy or noble metal clad titanium composite material is extruded under the high-temp. hydrostatic pressure by using the composite billet consisting of the metal or noble metal of which the core material consists essentially pure titanium and the sheath consists of copper. The ingot for the core material is subjected to the beta treatment after hot forging at 700-900 deg.C and thereafter the core material is fitted into the sheath by which the composite billet is manufactured. The billet is then extruded under the hydrostatic pressure in a 550-750 deg.C range.
