COOLING VENTILATOR FOR MAIN MOTOR OF INDUCTION MOTOR TYPE FOR CAR BODY

PURPOSE:To enhance cooling effect, by a method wherein a corner section by the rotor of a rotary end ring is notched to set a necessary cross area for a ventilation flue, and wherein an extended section of the rotary end ring is provided to make up for the area corresponding to the notched corner section. CONSTITUTION:A corner section confronting the housing 13 of an end ring 30 provided for the suction flue side end of a rotor bar 8 is notched by straight lines to enlarge the flue cross area. In the meantime, the end ring 30 has an extended section 31 having an area corresponding to the notched short cross area and extending in the direction of a frame 3. Air current introduced through the suction inlet 1 of the frame 3 flows to the ventilation flue 10a of a rotor core 6 through a flue L2 widened and formed between the molding section of the end ring 30 and the housing 13, and after a rotor 10 is cooled, air is discharged outside through an exhaust slot via an exhaust passage.
