ARM DRIVING CONTROL UNIT IN PLAYER PROVIDING LINEAR TRACKING ARM

PURPOSE:To enable to release the servo operation of the mechanism and to reduce the cost, by constituting so as to distinguish the projection element of the deflection angle detection mechanism at lifting up of the arm, while forming the mechanism for the arm with photoelectric system. CONSTITUTION:When the arm 31 is in lifting down state, the LED illumination control circuit 40 illuminates the LED 33 and makes the deflection angle detection mechanism 30 in the operating condition. Accordingly, at the reproduction of the record disc, this deflection angle detection mechanism 30 detects the deflection of the arm 31, and the motor 39 is driven based on the result of the detection so that the motor control circuit 37 and the motor drive circuit 38 correct the deflection, resulting in driving the arm 31. When the arm 31 is lifted up based of the drive command suitably, the switch 41 is switched to distinguish the LED 33 by the LED illumination control circuit 40 through switching of the switch 41 to release the servo operation of the deflection angle detection mechanism 30 of the arm. Further, the arm 31 can be moved based on other command, the relay is made unnecessary and the cost can be lowered.
