ARM DRIVING CONTROL UNIT IN PLAYER PROVIDING LINEAR TRACKING ARM

PURPOSE:To enable smooth driving for the arm at the start of driving of the arm, by gradually illuminating the projection element of the deflection angle detection mechanism at the start of illumination, while constituting the mechanism of the arm with photoelectric system. CONSTITUTION:When the arm 31 is at lifting up position, the LED illumination control circuit 40 makes the LED 33 at the distinguishing state with the position of the switch 41 in this case. Further, when the arm 31 is lifted down from this state to perform the reproduction of record disc, the switch 41 is switched, and the control circuit 40 illuminates the LED 33 and the deflection angle detection mechanism 30 is in operating state. In this case, the control circuit 40 gradually illuminates the LED 33 and makes in operation for the mechanism 30. Next, if the record reproduction is started, the deflection angle detection mechanism 30 detects the deflection angle of the arm 31, and the motor control circuit 37 and the motor drive circuit 38 drive the motor 39 based on the result of detection to correct the said deflection. Thus, the arm 31 is driven.
