PRODUCTION OF BLACK PLATE FOR SURFACE TREATMENT HAVING EXCELLENT SURFACE QUALITY BY WET TEMPER ROLLING

PURPOSE:To improve the surface quality of a black plate for surface treatment having a specific thickness size or below in wet temper rolling of said plate by supplying a lubricating agent having a coefft. of friction at a specified rate between rolling rolls and the black plate and subjecting the plate to temper rolling at a specific draft or below. CONSTITUTION:The lubricating agent having 0.20-0.45 coefft. of friction is supplied between the black plate for surface treatment having =0.45mm. thickness and the rolling rolls and the black plate is subjected to wet temper rolling at 15% draft. The surface of the black plate is kept free from surface flaws such as ears, partial elongation or under-elongation and generation of jumping. The extremely good surface condition is thus obtd.
