Weaving loom shedding mechanism to produce warp wave pattern - has warp lift levers lifted against springs by cords fixed to one or more driven non-rotating wobble discs like swash plates
The shedding mechanism is intended for producing a wave pattern in the warp threads, on a linear weaving loom. It comprises a wobble element (e.g. disc) rotatably carried (axis 14) on a driven shaft (axis 13) (and prevented from rotating), and cords which are secured to the element to operate the levers (against springs) from which the warp threads are suspended. The cords are pref. guided through openings arranged in a fixed disc (schematically indicated) arranged between the element and the levers. - The element may, alternatively, consist of a number of levers at one end swivelable on a fixed support whilst their outer ends are connected to the cords and are moved up and down by further cords secured to the perimeter of a disc rotatable on the cranked end of a driven shaft.
