Costume jewellery necklace - includes battery powered flashing LED illumination in crystals

The necklace or pendant includes a transparent or translucent element forming an integral part of the item, with a light emitting diode built in. The element is pref. a crystal or piece of cut glass as is conventionally used in jewellery manufacture. The crystal or glass is cut so that the light appears from different faces as the necklace is moved. - The diode (s) may be of different colours and may flash with a duration of 0.1 to 5 seconds. When several diodes are used they are connected in parallel to a supply of about 4 volts. The power supply is connected by wires and held in the clothing.
