A liq. distributor in the base of a vessel for wetting e.g. cement mix by capillary action has a thin trough with a permeable screen at its upper end and a liq. inlet at its base, and a filter in the trough against the screen. - The distributor may be circular and may contain two filter discs. The screen may be a perforated plate. The material to be wetted may be premixed in the dry.
