METHOD FOR SEPARATING MATERIAL FRACTIONS UTILIZABLE INDUSTRIALLY FROM GASES OF PETROCHEMICAL PLANT LINES

- The gas mixture at 5-8 bars pressure is routed to a hydrogen sulphide separator unit. The resultant bottom product is passed to a de-sorber to separate the hydrogen sulphide. The clean gas mixture is scrubbed by a hydrocarbon liquid in a column. The bottom product of this column is distilled to remove the volatile components, which are used directly or after further processing to remove the C3 fraction. Alternatively, the liquid products obtained by the above procedures are mixed and distilled to remove the C3, C4 fractions. Alternatively, the whole of the above is replaced by the following procedure:- The gas mixture at 12-20 bar pressure is routed to a scrubbing column were it is contacted by a hydrocarbon liquid. The bottom product of this column is processed by distillation.
