Transport vessel for drilling platform - has ballast tanks, stabilising towers and controlled ballast weight movement

The vessel hull (1) accommodates several ballast tanks to partly submerge the vessel. The bridge (3) and funnel (4) are bow mounted. The bow section has two recesses (5) housing two stabilising towers (6) movable on rails to the stern section. The stern section houses a ballast weight assembly (8) with a weight (9) tackle (10) and fixed block (11) with sheaves (13) mounted on a spindle (14). A cable (18) runs over the sheaves (13, (13,16) controlled by a winch (19). A measuring cell controls pulling power of the cable.
