DNA sequences coding on expression for stage-specific late schizont-merozoite malarial antigens, recombinant DNA molecules characterized by those DNA sequences, hosts transformed with them and methods of making and using these sequences, molecules and hosts to produce stage-specific late schizont-merozoite malarial antigens. These antigens and their antibodies are useful in compositions and methods for diagnosing and protecting against malarial infections.
