The temperature regulator has inputs (1; 2; 3) for a room-temperature sensor (5), a weather sensor (6) and a feed-temperature sensor (7). An impedance measuring element (12) controls a regulation-type changeover switch (10) as a function of the impedance on at least one of the inputs (1; 2; 3). If all three sensors (5; 6; 7) are connected, then the temperature regulator operates as a weather-controlled feed-temperature regulator with a room-temperature influence. If one of the sensors (5; 6; 7) is missing, then the temperature regulator automatically selects the suitable regulation type. IMAGE
