The equipment consists of a chain carrying a number of hollow vertical cylinders spaced at regular intervals and passing under the knitting machine; on arrival at the zone in which the sock is released by its toe-cao, the cylinder contacts a receptacle connected to a suction pump; rollers turning in opposed directions are situated in the receptacle to assist the sock in the descent; a piston emerging from a cylinder, also to help the descent of the sock; and a hopper through which the sock is ejected.
