The process involves heating distilled water to a temperature of 40 to 50 degree C; keeping it at said temperature in order to slowly add sodium hexametaphosphate to it, constantly stirring it until it dissolves; and then adding sodium sulphite to it, also stirring it until it is completely dissolved, then leaving the product obtained to stand for 24 hours. Trisodium phosphate and/or copper sulphate are optionally added to the sodium sulphite.
